Winding Trails MTB Team Race Report
April 29, 2011 By mkr
5 mile loop of smooth, twisty single track, flat wide power sections, 2 deep mud bogs, 2 little bridges, and a few short little hills. There were a number of modifications to the course this year that significantly changed the feel and flow. There were many new singletrack sections added and the amount of long access road sections was reduced.

There are numerous races throughout the season at the Ninigret Park criterium course in Charlestown, RI. Despite that I’ve only been there once previously. I was a little surprised to find out that the Newhouse crit was offering a Women’s field and decided to head down and support it.
2010 Plymouth Festival of Cross Team Race Report
November 15, 2010 By mkr
The Plymouth Festival of Cyclocross is one of the oldest cyclocross events in the northeast. The Sykes family has been promoting cycling events for ages and once again this year put together a great two day event. The NEBC cyclocross team once again had strong representation and showings both days. Some standout performances include Julianne who has seen dramatic improvement over the course of the season in ability, fitness and confidence. Chris also had a great rides both days in the tough 45+ masters events. Tom also had top ten finishes both days in the 55+ events and Ian lit the Men’s 4 race up on Saturday with a 2nd place finish. Not bad for an old guy.

2010 Canton Cup Cyclocross Team Race Report

Great turnout and excellent work everyone. I think this was certainly one of the better events of the season, between being close to home, having a relatively fun course, great facilities and a huge turnout. Massive kudos to Ian for turning in the best NEBC result in the biggest field of the day, one that started with over 130 racers.
